Views on abstract sandstone formations from the air
White Pocket is a unique place carved by wind and time, nestled within the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in Arizona, USA. The surreal landscape is showing swirling white and red sandstone formations, reminiscent of delicate waves frozen in stone. The geological formations at White Pocket are primarily composed of Navajo Sandstone, the same formation that creates the famous landscapes in places like Zion National Park and Coyote Buttes. What sets White Pocket apart is the intricate patterns, swirling lines, and wave-like formations etched into the sandstone, creating a surreal and almost dreamlike landscape. These patterns are thought to have been formed by various geological processes, including the effects of wind, water, and the presence of minerals. Over millions of years, the sand dunes that once covered this area were compressed and solidified into the sandstone we see today. The swirling patterns and the multicolored layers are a result of different mineral content and varying levels of iron oxide, manganese, and other minerals within the sandstone.

Aluminum Dibond is a composite material. It is 3 mm (1/8”) thick and has 3 layers: two aluminum layers with a platinum white look sandwich a black polyethylene core. The lateral face is black. A photo as a print on aluminum Dibond is a top-grade, robust print with a long lifespan. Due to the low net weight of the backing, photos on aluminum Dibond are ideally suited for large formats.

Artworks will be printed on Hahnemühle´s Phto Rag 308 g/qm high quality paper. It has a matte surface and a fine texture, making it versatile without any reflections.
Print on Aluminium Backing
The artwork will be printed on highest quality photo paper and mounted on a aluminium Dibond backing including a UV protective laminate on the front.
Print under Acrylic Glass
A glossy acrylic plate will be added on top of the artwork (including the aluminium backing) which gives it a slightly 3-dimensional look and and additional protection layer.
